e are now at the start of October, the last quarter of 2020.  This has been quite a year, filled with the unexpected, but it does not have to end on a low.

Throughout the years I have set goals, but I didn’t reach them.  Then I started to work on projects at work and learned about how to plan them to meet deadlines and why some projects slip.

How can this help with weight loss?

A project is not made up of one action, but lots of smaller actions that make up the big picture.

Just like weight loss.  Each meal you have, each snack, bite make up your diet. Each step you take, each time you move, or don’t move affects your weight.

One blip or splurge will not make a huge impact but lots of them will. Like one 5 mile walk and no other exercise will not help you to get into shape.

Blips happen if you try and make too many changes at once. Especially drastic changes.  We are human and slip back into our old habits.  What is better is to change our habits.

For the last quarter of 2020 instead of setting a goal that is extreme, why not try to make one change.  Like eating 1 more vegetable during every meal or reducing processed sugar from one meal each day.

These little actions will add up over time.  Change our habits.

What are you going to do in this quarter?
