It is not until we are older that the importance of this really makes an impact.  We are taught basic nutrition in school but as more research is done new information comes to light.

The internet has brought us a lot of great information but anyone can publish without it being verified.  Try to use sources that are reliable, like the NHS.  Check every so often if there are any changes. If possible ask your doctor to test vitamin and nutrient levels to see if you are lacking or have too much of anything.  You can use that as a start to tweak your diet.
